Terms of Service
This is a plain-language agreement. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace advice from a lawyer in your country.

1.Who we are and what this is
Rigfolio is an independent marketplace and portfolio host for Roblox developers. It does two things: it gives you a public page at your own handle where you can show your work, and it lets you list digital assets for other developers to buy and download.
Rigfolio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. “Roblox” is a trademark of Roblox Corporation. We are a separate site run by Rigfolio, and nothing here comes from or is approved by Roblox.
These terms are the agreement between you and Rigfolio for your use of Rigfolio. By creating an account or using the site you accept them.
2.Eligibility
You must be old enough to form a contract where you live. If you are under 18 you may use Rigfolio only with a parent or guardian’s permission, and only they can accept money for work or assets you sell.
Everything you make, sell, or buy here still has to comply with Roblox’s own Terms of Use and Community Standards. Rigfolio being a separate site does not exempt you from them, and breaking them can cost you your Roblox account, which we cannot help with.
3.Your account
You are responsible for your account and for everything posted from it. Keep your password to yourself. If you sign in with Discord, your Discord account becomes the key to this one.
Handles are first come, first served. We do not restrict what characters you use beyond what is needed for a handle to work as a web address: it has to fit in 32 characters, it cannot be made of invisible or control characters, and it cannot be the name of a page on this site.
We may reclaim a handle in two cases. The first is a collision with a page we need to add to the site, which is a technical problem and not a judgement about you. The second is a handle being used to impersonate a person or a studio, after someone reports it and we look into it. In both cases we will tell you and give you a chance to choose another.
Your email address has to be confirmed before you can list an asset. It does not have to be confirmed to browse or to buy.
4.What you may sell
Only files you created, or have a clear and documented right to sell. If you are not sure you have that right, you do not have it.
These are explicitly prohibited:
- Assets ripped from other games, other creators, or the Roblox catalogue.
- Assets from a paid pack or marketplace that you did not license for resale. Buying something is not the same as buying the right to sell it on.
- Obfuscated code of any kind. If a buyer cannot read what they are running, neither can we, and that is the shape every backdoor takes.
- Backdoors, admin hooks, or anything that grants the uploader access to a buyer’s game.
- Anything that executes remote code, loads a script from a URL at runtime, or self-updates.
- Anything that collects player data or sends it anywhere.
- Anything that breaks Roblox’s Terms of Use or Community Standards.
A person reads every listing before it goes public. That review is a filter, not a guarantee: we can catch an obvious copy, and we cannot know that a file you wrote is really yours. If you sell something that is not yours, that is on you.
5.Licenses
When you list an asset you choose one license from a fixed set, and that license is what the buyer gets. The set and what each one means in plain English is on the licenses page. There is no freeform license field, so a buyer never has to read a paragraph a stranger wrote to find out what they may do.
You keep ownership of your work. You grant Rigfolio a limited, non-exclusive license to store your files, show your previews and your listing, and deliver the files to buyers who have access, for as long as the listing exists. That license exists so the site can function, and it covers nothing else: we do not sell your work, use it in anything of our own, or license it to anybody else.
When you buy an asset you get the license the seller chose, from the seller, not from Rigfolio.
6.Payments
Rigfolio does not process payments, hold funds, or act as a party to any sale.
There is no payment processor in this site. There is no checkout, no card form, no wallet, no balance, and no escrow. When you buy an asset here you pay the seller directly, in one of two ways:
- In Robux, by buying a game pass on Roblox that the seller owns. The Robux goes from you to the seller inside Roblox, and Rigfolio is not involved in that transaction at all. Afterwards we ask Roblox whether you own the pass, and unlock the download if you do.
- On the seller’s own payment page, such as Ko-fi, Gumroad, Payhip, Boosty, or PayPal. You pay them there, under that service’s terms. Afterwards either you enter a claim code the seller gave you, or the seller confirms your payment by hand, and the download unlocks.
Rigfolio charges no fee on a sale, takes no commission, and receives no part of any payment. There is nothing for us to take a fee from.
Rigfolio offers no payment protection and no guarantee of any kind about a payment. We do not guarantee that a seller will deliver, that a seller will confirm your payment, or that an asset is what its listing says it is. Paying a seller is a direct transaction between you and that person, and you should treat it as one.
Sellers are responsible for their own taxes, and for complying with the terms of whatever payment service they use. Rigfolio never asks a seller for bank details, card details, or a tax identification number, because it never pays anybody.
7.Downloads and disputes
Access to a download is recorded as an entitlement: a record saying that a particular account may download a particular listing. It is created in one of four ways: the asset was free, Roblox confirmed you own the seller’s game pass, you entered a valid claim code, or the seller confirmed your payment.
A download link is generated fresh each time you click it and expires within a minute. There is nothing to save and nothing that can be shared.
If a listing is later removed, by the seller or by us, you keep access to anything you already had access to. Access is only ever taken away for confirmed fraud, by the operator, and that is logged.
Rigfolio cannot refund anything, because it never received the money.
You can open a dispute on anything you have access to. The reasons are: the files do not match the manifest, the asset does not work as described, the asset appears to be someone else’s work, or the seller never delivered a promised extra. A dispute is visible to the seller, who can respond, and then we rule on it.
An upheld dispute does three real things:
- It removes the listing from public view.
- It counts against the seller’s record.
- It appears on the seller’s public provenance panel as an upheld dispute, where future buyers see it.
It does not return money. Three upheld reports or disputes suspend a seller from creating new listings until we have reviewed the account.
Where to go for an actual refund:
- Robux: Roblox does not refund game passes. The only person who can give you Robux back is the seller, so ask them directly.
- The seller’s own page: ask the seller, and if that fails use the dispute process of the service you paid through. Gumroad and PayPal both have one, and that is where you have real recourse.
8.Reports and takedowns
There is a report button on every listing and every profile. Reports go to a queue that a person reads. We may remove a listing, close a report, or suspend an account.
If we remove your listing we email you the reason. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email and say why, and a person will look again.
Copyright. If something here infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: what the work is, where it is on this site, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and your signature, physical or electronic. We act on complete notices. We will pass the notice to the uploader, who may send a counter-notice.
9.Prohibited conduct
None of the following:
- Scraping the site, or automating purchases, claims, or downloads.
- Claiming to have paid when you have not, or entering a claim code you were not given.
- Payment fraud, or abusing a chargeback against a seller.
- Harassing anybody, here or by using contact details you found here.
- Attempting to get at a file you have no entitlement to, by any route, including probing the download endpoint or the storage layer.
- Uploading malware, or anything designed to compromise a buyer or their game.
- Creating accounts to evade a suspension.
10.Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your settings, and we can close an account that breaks these terms.
What happens when an account closes:
- Its live listings stop being available to buy.
- There are no pending payouts to settle, because Rigfolio never held any money.
- Other people keep access to anything they already bought from that seller, and the files stay available to them.
- Deleting your own account deletes your own entitlement records with it, which means you lose access to the things you bought. Files you have already downloaded are yours and we cannot and would not recall them. If you want to keep your purchases, do not delete the account. The settings page says this before the button, not after.
11.Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided as is. Rigfolio does not guarantee that an asset is of any particular quality, that it is fit for your purpose, that it works in your version of Studio, or that the person selling it has the right to. It does not guarantee that a seller will deliver or will confirm your payment. It does not guarantee uptime.
Because Rigfolio receives no money from any user, our liability to you is limited to the maximum extent the law where you live allows. If a seller wrongs you, your remedy is against that seller.
Nothing here tries to exclude a liability that cannot legally be excluded, and in some countries that includes a good deal. Where local law gives you a right that this clause appears to take away, local law wins.
12.Changes to these terms
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect. Carrying on using the site after a change means you accept it. If you do not, close your account.
13.Who to contact
The operator is Rigfolio. Reach us at [email protected], and for copyright at [email protected].
